Peninsula Manila: Afternoon Tea Buffet at the Lobby

Afternoon Tea Buffet Table
We wanted to escape the summer heat without going to the malls or heading to the beach and breaking our wallets. We immediately called the Peninsula Manila Lobby for reservations after remembering that the renewal member's benefit of Peninsula Manila Card includes a complimentary afternoon tea buffet for two at the Lobby of Peninsula Manila.

Pretty plates and teacups

Beautiful Teapot

It was our very first time to experience an afternoon tea buffet here. As soon as we were ushered to our table, we instantly remembered little girls playing tea party upon seeing the tea cups and tea pots. The server asked for our preferred drinks. We asked for a juice and a tea. A milk was also given probably to partner with the chamomile tea.
Variety of Scones: Plain, Mango and Raisin
Filipino fare: Sapin Sapin, Bibingkang Malagkit and Maja Blanca

South East Asian dish: Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
Asian Noodles
One of the best things, we liked at the afternoon tea buffet is the diversity of  food showcasing different culture. Plus, sweets and more sweets for the desserts!
Cakes and cookies
Fashion Fruit Roulade
Partner of Scones
Ice Cream
Fruits
If you're in for an early light dinner, you might want the other dishes in the buffet table.

Perfect for early dinner

Tuna salad sandwich on Multi- Grain Bread

Grilled Vegetable and Avocado on White Bread

Goat Cheese Croquette
Biscuits
Say Cheese....
If you have a Peninsula Manila Card, you can also get a discount. You will be needing at least Php 800 (an estimate) per person. The afternoon tea buffet starts at around 2:30 (1430H) until 5:30 (1730H) in the afternoon. Definitely, this is worth a try!

Hmmm... If you want to try the buffet, we have vouchers that can give you discounts. We can give it to you for free! The only problem is how to give it to you....

HI Ms. Vanz! This is actually my favourite place to have tea. Gives me the whole English vibe, minus the snooty English waiters. Those vintage teacups are eye candies! :)
